Les and Thora lived on "Willow Farm" Mandagery until the war years, then at Bathurst and Parkes. Les worked in a small arms factory then joined the Airforce. After the war they lived at Mortdale and then Luddenham, and ended up living at Penrith until Les's death. Thora remained at Penrith until 1995 when she moved to Sanctuary Point NSW.

Thora married Leslie Pearce on 4 Mar 1936 in Presbyterian Church, Eugowra, NSW Australia. (Leslie Pearce was born on 5 Apr 1911 in Parkes, NSW Australia, died on 21 Oct 1983 in Penrith, Sydney, NSW Australia and was buried in Presbyterian Cemetery, Penrith, NSW Australia.)
