Aquila Parsons

  General Notes:

Learned plumbing and tinsmithing trade from his father. Went into business with him in 1873, age 27. Became proprietor of the business in 1875, adding crockery, furniture, timber and building materials to the business. This business was
inherited by his son Joseph Henry ('Harry') and was acquired by W. Water & Sons during WW II.



Elected to Wollongong Council in 1877, served until 1889 including a term as Mayor, 1882-83.



Director of Wollongong Mutual Building Society 1880-83.
