• source. Don Mantack who notes that he migrated to Launceston, Tasmania on the "Lady Egidia" leaving Glasgowon on 12th Jan 1862. He was shown on passenger list as William Montanch aged 21, ploughman from Morayshire.
The ship was 1235 tons and the journey took 97 days and was captained by Captain Curry.

William married Jane Gordon in 1834 in Rothes, Morayshire, Scotland UK. (Jane Gordon was born in 1812.)
