Niall Mathews notes:
James Francis Tully first married Caroline Howell. They had Caroline Anne (Gipsy) on 14 Sept 1884. Caroline, mother, must have died in childbirth given dates of death and birth.

JFT married again in 1887 to Bessie Mathews (my relation) and they had six children

When Mary Mathews died in 1935, all four siblings left (Gipsy, Claire, Leo and Frank) were umbrella'd under 'beloved aunt of'......leading to my confusion. By this stage Mary Ada Tully, Vincent James Tully and Peter Mathews Tully (half sister and half brothers) were all dead.

(Caroline Anne Howell was born on 16 Aug 1849 in Jacobs River, Southland New Zealand, died on 14 Sep 1874 in Queenstown, Southland New Zealand and was buried on 7 Oct 1874 in Queenstown, Southland New Zealand.)
