Walter Montague BirdBorn 20th September 1854, East Indies. Clifton College 1864-1871. Solicitor, J.P. Died 1936. In 1871 the Bird family lived at 86 Woodcot Villa, Westbury-on-Trym.

Was glad to find details of this man on your website. He attended Clifton College, Bristol UK from 1864 (Michaelmas Term) to 1867 (Christmas Term) before going on to the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. His brothers Walter Montagu (1854-1936) and Francis Trevor (1850-9) followed him to the school, which had been founded in 1862.

Walter married Edith Maria Wills, daughter of George Wills and Francis Mary Beasley, on 3 Sep 1881 in Emmanuel Church, Clifton, Devon, England.
