Henry Grant Huckson enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on the 28/1/1916. His wife Mary Jeffrey Huckson is listed as next of kin and her address is Baden Park, Tocumwal, N.S.W.
Henry’s Certificate of Medical Examination describes him as being 26 years and 7 months, height - 5 foot 7 inches, weight 130 lbs, chest measurement 32/35 inches, complexion - fresh, eyes - blue, hair - brown and religious denomination - Presbyterian. His distinctive marks were - Vacs 2 left arm, birthmark right side, mole right side back and a boil scar left cheek.
He disembarked at South Africa and was admitted to the No 2 General Hospital, Maitland seriously ill and died on he 27/11/1916 of Cerebro Spinal Meningitis.
