Stanley Tamworth Murray enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on the 6/2/1915. His medical record shows that he was aged 22 years and 6 months, height 5 feet 10 inches, weight 154 lbs, chest measurement 32 and a half/36 inches, complexion - dark, eyes - brown, hair - brown and his religious denomination - Presbyterian. He had a scar on his upper lip.
Stanley’s occupation in the Unit was a driver. He served at Gallipoli, Egypt and France. He was admitted into hospital at various times for wounds, mumps and measles. He received the Star Medal, British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
