The farm where Mary was born, Sandlebridge, was transferred into the Holland family, being taken on by her son Samuel. He was the grandfather of Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell and she spent may happy visits there during her childhood.
Mary was buried in August 1757 at the Brook Street Unitarian Chapel in Knutsford, Cheshire.
