William Hanson Heydon was a shipwright in the Royal Dockyards in Devonport, like his father and grandfather before him.

For shipping arrivals, William Hanson Heydon arrived in Sydney, prior to his family, aboard the 'Anglesey' on 17/12/1852.

Elizabeth and their children, Charlotte Ann Hardey, Elizabeth, Thomas George, Henry Hanson & Philip John (my ancestor), plus a married daughter Mary Ann, arrived in Sydney aboard the 'Kate' 21/11/1854.
Another son, Charles William and his wife arrived in Sydney aboard the 'Hornet' 3/3/1859.
