Arthur Chapman notes: Convicted at Bristol, Gloucestershire on 12 Jan 1796 for stealing clothing ·Transported on "Speedy" Dep: 24 Nov 1799, Arrived: 11 Apr 1800. Thomas and Martha had 9 children: (a lot of information from Orange & District Pioneer Register to 1860. Orange Family History Group, p. 321) NB Sometimes Given as SHARP and sometimes as SHARPE. In many of the Electoral Rolls around Spring Hill and Orange - given as SHARP. Appears they may have changed itdrom SHARPE to SHARP around 1900, although some of the family around Orange still use SHARPE. I'm not sure that I have them all correct.
