Roger Allan Stevens ¹⁶

   Cause of his death was Aortic aneurism.

  General Notes:

Joined Royal Australian Navy in November 1945. Served with British
Commonwealth Occupation Forces in Japan. Contracted polio while at HMAS
Cerberus. Awarded Australian Service Medal with Japan clasp. Medically
discharged from the Navy on 24 June 1953. Suffered an aortic aneurysm on the
night of 4 May 1999, died following surgery at Royal Canberra Hospital on the
following morning.

Roger married Joyce Lorraine Keighran, daughter of Eric (Hec) Grenville Keighran and Eva Grace Jones, on 22 Jul 1950 in St Lukes, South Melbourne, Victoria Australia. (Joyce Lorraine Keighran was born on 14 Jan 1928 in Swan Hill, Victoria Australia and died in 2011 ¹⁶.)
