My aunt could recall the house. The aquisition by the NSW Health Commission was compulsory. A hospital was intended for the site, but then its plans changed & the Council bought the land. The new Art Gallery sits behind the house. The house has been restored and is now a cafe/restaurant. Ian
• fact. Rhonda Macrae writes: Helen Margaret Inglis should have an 'E' on the end of her Braye. Her father Thomas Alfred Braye (uncle Alf) put the 'E' on the end of his Bray by deed poll and others followed suit, like my grandfather for instance, Stanley Gordon Bray put the 'E' on his name as well.
