David was born at Mosman on 5th May 1921. David enlisted in the 2nd A.I.F. at Paddington on 27 th May 1940. He served in the Western Desert as a sapper in the 2/6th Field Company (service # NX17432). He was one of the Rats of Tobruk. David returned to Australia and he married Kathleen Constance Farr at North Sydney in 1945 (NSW 1945/23261).
David worked for his uncle at the Wire Gate and Fence Company before going to Western Australia as a bull dozer driver. He returned to Sydney and worked for his uncle again before he moved his family to the NSW north coast near Taree. He died at Southport in Queensland on 17th February 1985 aged 63 years.
David married Kathleen Constance Farr in 1945. (Kathleen Constance Farr was born circa 1925.)
