For many years many people believed that the Australian Hanslows were descended from the Hanslows of Gnosall. However new documents have recently been discovered. These include the will of Peter Hanslow in Australia 1866, the will of his great uncle Peter Hansley, Northhampshire and the will of his great grandfatherof Peter Ansloe
