Charles Andrew Mann

  General Notes:

Charles suffered a broken neck in an accident in 1959. At first he was totally paralysed but after more than a year in Hospital and rehabilitation at Kingsholme Rehabilitation Centre he regained the use of one arm and partial use of his legs. He was able to walk with the aid of a walking stick and leg irons. He suffered repeated blockages of his bladder due to infections caused by the partial paralysis and developed kidney stones which became infected and he developed septicaemia and died from the complications of measles which he contacted while ill (supplied by Paul Mann).
