Because Christine never married Carolyn's biological father Carolyn is and always has been known as Carolyn Barber. Carolyn's birth certificate testifies to this and it is this which I believe would cause particular offense as it appears on the internet for all the world to see. I am sure that you can see that having lived for 38 years with NO meaningful contact with her father, that she would not be pleased to find herself listed on your web site with his surname. She is a very proud member of the BARBER family.
