• note. Valerie King, a descendant of the John Scadden who died aboard HMS Warrior in 1880, has arranged for a brass plaque in John's memory to be placed on the ship. {and also for a brass plaque to be placed on a "ditty-box" containing details of John's story}.
There will be a small ceremony aboard HMS warrior at 11 a.m. on May 1st 2015
{provisionally in the Sick Bay}.
Captain Ash, I understand, is planning to mention it in the Warrior web pages.
It is possible that the Press will be there and local TV "South Today".
