I knew we had Bray cousins from Newcastle NSW but my father Allan Charles Pitt (born 1924) was born and grew up in Perth and his father Alfred Charles Pitt born Sydney, died in Perth when my dad was a teenager of about 14. Laura Landeryou, his mother (born. 1895 in Newcastle) continued to live in Perth until her death and never remarried but my father Allan moved to Sydney as a young man after serving in the airforce WW2 and never lived again in Perth.

Allan was Alfred and Laura's only son and they also had a daughter Eunice (older than Allan) who died in Perth when she was a young mother of one son (some blood disorder but also related to a fall).

I think Laura's parents David and Elfida (?) met in Newcastle and must have divorced /split when Laura was young. I recall years ago finding another child of Elfirda, a son. Perhaps his father was the reason for the split.

I'm guessing that David and daughter Laura moved to Perth on their own after the split. David was a builder. It might have been a time of boom in WA and a good time to get work as a builder?

Laura died when I was about 5 yo ~1967.

My father married Victoria Alicia Nelson (b 1935) from Sydney. They had me Vanessa Pitt (b 1962) and Genevieve (b 1969) both born Sydney.

I have two sons, Charles Pitt Rawlinson (b 1993 in Cambridge UK)' and James Pitt (b 1999 in Sydney). Thanks to your entries, I now know that James' father, Douglas Craig Harris (b 1965 in NZ) .....believe it or not! is a distant cousin and also a descendent of Robert Landeryou (b 1768) of Cornwall. Doug's mother is Kathleen Wills who is on the Landeryou line and also on th same website.

My sister, Genevieve has two sons Oliver & Julian with her husband Heath Fitzroy.

Alfred married Laura Landeryou, daughter of David J. Landeryou and Elfreda R. Brown. (Laura Landeryou was born in 1895 in Newcastle, NSW Australia and died circa 1967 in Perth, Western Australia ¹⁰³.)
