James Joseph Bayldon,I have reason to believe is my wife's great-great-grandfather, descending through his daughter Emily Beatrice Bayldon, the sister to Eva Lavinia Bayldon.
It would appear that Emily Beatrice had a child by Erik Rudolf Bylund, a Swedish sailor, in Melbourne in 1899 (the year her mother Sarah nee Hall died. The child, Emily (my wife's
grandmother) was fostered out and never saw her mother again, although she did have a relationship in later life with her father. Emily Beatrice appears to have married Samuel John McCay in Albany WA, and had a son from that marriage.
