Alexander came to Australia as a convict. He had been charged with stealing and sentenced to 7 years transportation 25.03.1818. He arrived in Sydney 09.01.1819. Alexander and Sophia had separated by 1839 and Sophia had formed a relationship with Patrick Markey.
