Thomas Hunt and his wife Ann and 2 children John Thomas and Thomas left South Africa in 1842 for Hobart on the Ship Sir Charles Napier arriving on 28 Nov 1842.
William Hunt was born on 5 Jan 1843 and Baptised at St Andrews Presbyterian Church on 14 Dec 1843. William Hunt died aged 6 months(see attached inquest) Ann Hunt and her children were lodging with Robert and Elizabeth Wickers. The Hunts all slept in the same room in the same bed. Thomas Hunt came home once a week. I think the Wicker's were convicts.
On 20 May 1843 a unnamed male is born, Father Thomas Hunt Mother Ann Sutton.
Then on 12 Feb 1846 there is a record of a Mrs Hunt aged 25,John Hunt aged 6 and Thomas Hunt aged 4 arriving in NSW on the Samuel Boddington, remarks Settler Cape of Good Hope.
John married Mary Brown, daughter of William George Brown and Elizabeth Catherine Foss, on 18 Sep 1860 in Wombo, Queensland Australia. (Mary Brown was born on 10 Jan 1833 in Surry Hills, Sydney, NSW Australia and died in 1909 in Thirroul, NSW Australia.)
