I read with interest the entry about Louisa Firman, born 1888 at Sailors Flat. (or Mailors Flat). She was married to my father, Charles Leslie Burch, in about 1919 for a brief time. He was younger (born 1897), she was a widow, her first husband, Donald Williamson died at about age 28, possibly in WW1.
The marriage failed very quickly. Then my mum and dad married in 1930 after being "engaged" for 6 years.
I believe my dad and Louisa were married in 1917, he must have been just 21 as his family opposed I believe and he had enlisted in WW1 also against his mother's wishes. Louisa would have been about 30.
After the divorce he married Marie Waverley Hennessy in 1930, and they had 5 children.

Charles married Louisa Firman, daughter of Abraham Stephen Thomas Firman and Mary Burris, in 1917. (Louisa Firman was born in 1888 in Mailors Flat, near Warnambool, Victoria Australia and died in 1938 in Malvern, Melbourne, Victoria Australia.)
