  • Christened: 24 Feb 1811, Kingsnorth, Kent England

Noted events in her life were:

• source. 717 & Arthur & Carol Foulger (nee Sommer) who writes:
Sarah and Wiliam's first child was born 25/7/1830, but they did not marry until 16/12/1932; Sarah was purportedly born 1808 (according to Stan's book), but if she had to wait until she turned 21 to marry, that would make her birth 1811 - there is a christening on 24/2/1811 in Kingsnorth, Kent, England. This ties in with other research online, with father John and mother Elizabeth nee COOK who married at Woodchurch on 12/10/1799

There was another family married and all children christened in Woodchurch. The mother was not Cook. There is a record of Sarah being christening at Frindsbury on 22 Jan 1809 and also at Dartford on the same day. I think this is because the two towns are very close and it may be the case that the records are held at the larger church at Dartford. On both records her mother is recorded as Sarah not Elizabeth.

Sarah's maiden name is a mystery. But my husband is from Dartford so next time we are in England we intend to look at the Church record.
