Exact date of death unknown as he died in tragic circumstances. Had been working on a farm in the wheat belt area and left his ute to work at another farm quite a long distance away. It was outback country, not many signposts and those that were there had been turned around by a group of car ralliers a week previously. He lost his way and died of thirst. It was over a week before his body was found.
