Notes for Harold HOOD: MARRIAGES HOOD-CLISSOLD. The marriage of Miss Lillian Clissold, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Clissold, of Pymble, to Mr. Harold Hood, eldest son of the late F. Hood and Mrs. E. Hood, of St. Leonard's, was celebrated at St. Swithin's Church of England, Pymble, on December 21. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. J. Noble. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory georgette frock, trimmed with Chantilly lace. The veil, which was lent by Mrs C. R. Yates, was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and a train of cut tulle fell from the shoulders. She carried a shower bouquet of tuberoses and white and pink carnations. The matron-of-honour, Mrs. C. R. Yates, wore a frock of delphinium blue marlette, trimmed with pink roses, and a tulle hat finished with silver lace and leaves. Miss Gwen Mines, who was the bridesmaid, wore a frock of apricot tulle and lace with a hat to tone, trimmed with gold lace and leaves. They carried shower bouquets of delphiniums and Cecil Brunner roses. The little trainbearers, Mary Clissold and Olive Pymble, were dressed in petalled frocks of shell pink georgette, trimmed with roses and forget-me-nots. Mr. Raymond Hood was best man, and Mr. Jack Clissold, groomsman. The bride's mother, wearing an ensemble of beige marlette and lace, with a Baku straw hat, and carrying a posy of crimson gladioli, received the guests at the Turramurra Masonic Hall. The bridegroom's mother chose an ensemble of grey crepe de Chine, with a hat to tone, and carried a posy of pink gladioli.
