Alexander Robert (Alec) Woods

My father John Dennis Macdonald an Alexander Robert Woods were cousins.
We visited the Alec and Freda at Maclean NSW in 1949 and at Quirindi NSW in 1956 and 1958 In 1958 they gave us dog.
My recollection of the visits is blurred. They had two daughters. They were about 18 months apart. Can't remember if the daughters were about 2 and 3 at Maclean or Quirindi.

Mererdith (Merry) Woods had a sister.
Alec was police officer at both places.
Alec was later posted to Balmain and started the Police Boys Club there.
About 1965 I attended the Police Ball at the Sydney Trocadero with my future wife Marie.
We sat at the Police Commissioners table with Alec.
I went to Alec's funereal at Palmdale in 1996.
Alec had a brother John (Jack)

Alexander married Freda Maude Dettmann, daughter of Elga Louis Hermann Dettmann and Louisa Maud Budden. (Freda Maude Dettmann was born on 12 Apr 1921 in Tingha, NSW Australia and died on 12 Aug 1995 in Budgewoi, NSW Australia.)
