I am the great/great niece of Jemima Thame, wife of George Washford Page, sister of my great/grandfather Richard Henry Thame. Jemima sailed to Australia in the emigrant ship "Star of the East" in 1853 in company with the Hitchcock family. She was in Australia for 6 years before she married George but their marriage was short-lived as she died of tuberculosis and pneumonia in 1859 after only about 18 months of marriage. They were in business in Blues Point, North Sydney at the London Store when she died and she was taken to her burial at the Gore Hill Cemetery. She was so young. George went on to marry again and have a family. Richard Henry Thame had various businesses in Sydney from about 186l - he eventually moved to Barraba NSW where he invested in Woods Reef Gold Mine and bought the Commercial Hotel there. His daughter Annie (later Banfield) took over the hotel after Richard Henry's death.

George married Jemima Thame, daughter of Thomas Thame and Sarah Smith, in 1858 in Sydney, NSW Australia. (Jemima Thame was born in 1826 in Twyford, Buckinghamshire England, christened on 26 Aug 1826 in Twyford, Buckinghamshire England and died in 1859 in St Leonards, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
