I am trying to help a friend and his Mum find out about their family history. All they know is that the Mum's father was Percy John Robson born 12 December 1888 in Victoria Asutralia. His Father was John Robson born about 1860 we think, due to his marriage certificate. He married Florence Emma Taylor in 1884 Sydney NSW Australia, & on his marriage certificate, it states his age as 24 years, but for where born only says England. His granddaughter was told he was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Percy John Robson was one of six (6) children, there were 2 x other boys, & 3 girls born to John & Florence Emma (known as Emma) Robson. There names were Jasper Robson, Stanley Robson, Muriel Robson, Maude Robson, & Julia Louisa Isobell Robson. Unfortunately that's all we know.
I was looking at your family website <http://www.thetreeofus.net/6/157093.html> & I was wondering if maybe my friend's John Robson born about 1860 could be the son of your John Hannington Robson, John Robson born 1862. Do you know where he was born & what happened to him. Could it be possible that he emmigrated to Australia sometime before 1884 when our John Robson married in Sydney?
