Amos (Joe )went to work at the gas works in Sydney,they went on strike and he was a scab, was allowed to keep working, but never allowed promotion, was very good at leather work. Had to make an appointment to visit him,then he got dressed in his Sunday best.
Amos married Ida E. G. Ryan, daughter of Tobias Ryan and Ellen Brennan, in 1913 in Tamworth, NSW Australia. (Ida E. G. Ryan was born in 1887 in Nundle, NSW Australia and died in 1931.)
