  General Notes:

Judy Kenward notes:
Now Ethel is indeed my Bennett connection, she was one of 11 born to James & Rebecca [Davis] Bennett, not all of those kids went on to have families but many of those who did had huge families and I have yet to find all of them, its a works in progress as you say. - the 2 kids before Ethel were twins, a boy and a girl, but sadly they did not survive. When you get some 20 years or so between the birth of the first child and the last, I think there were times when siblings didn't really know each other either, some will have moved away to marry and just didn't go back home which is sad to think of.

James Bennett himself was one of 8, 6 of whom came to Australia arriving in Botany Bay in March 1855. One brother Henry didn't make the journey and we haven't really been able to find him in Cornwall - another WIP; and his oldest brother Joseph was already in Australia. The parents of James were Joseph & Mary Bennett from Chacewater Cornwall. This line of Bennett is related to mine through Joseph and his older brother Stephen, and Stephen's line arrived in Port Adelaide 2 weeks after the Joseph Bennett's arrived in Botany Bay. While I have my Stephen's line pretty well covered, the line of Joseph is still very much a seek and ye shall find expedition, lots to learn.

Back to Ethel, don't know really what she did, she married and died as you know within the city areas and even her last address at Concord indicates she lived in the city most of her life. I am still hoping to find one of her descendants who will be able to tell me all these things for I prefer to have as much overall information as I can about my people, I don't want a collection of just names and dates, you need life information to flesh all these things out don't you.

Noted events in his life were:

• emigrated, Mar 1855, Sydney, NSW Australia.

James married Rebecca Davis. (Rebecca Davis was born circa 1840.)
