• note. 657 Cathy Hinks notes: I am descended from Emma Coates and Henry ALexander convict transferred 1837 from Mary Ann there oldest. They also had Henry Dorothea and Hannah (Annie) . Mary Ann married George McGregor in Mudgee 1866 cannot find any def information about George. He died in 1880 in the Parramatta Insane Hospital, his records at Kingswood state that he was born in Liverpool England. On one of his childrens birth records stated that he was born in Sydney. They had George Henry McGregor who hooked up with Marion McCasker her married name was McDermott and had three childred two boys and my grandmother Edith McGregor. Edith married Albert James Binney they had my dad Albert George and Marion Daisy.
My dad married Betty Bush in Gunnedah Northern New South Wales who had seven children me being the second youngest. Crazy that Emma was only 14 years old at the time with Henry being 26 at the time of there marriage. Henry got in trouble with the law and ended up in gaol over here but before the last incarseration he went by another alias George Waters inorder to escape detection.
