• note. John Davies notes:
Hugh's parents are said to be John O'Neill and Ellen Dwyer. On a Canadian website I fined John and Ellen having migrated there with nine of ten children born in Tipperary 1809 through to 1831. The last, William, has no record of migration. Presume he died early. There is a gap 1815 to 1820 between the third and fourth child. Does Hugh fit in here?

Hugh married Ellen Frost, daughter of George Frost and Anne Collopy, on 5 Apr 1845 in St Peter & St Paul, Catholic Church, Goulburn, NSW Australia. (Ellen Frost was born circa 1820 in County Clare, Ireland UK and died on 13 Jun 1898 in Burrowa, (later changed to Boorowa) NSW Australia.)
