My name is Sharon Bailey. I have been doing family history on my Bailey family for a little while now and I just happened google the name of my great grandfathers brother, Frederick Bailey and the information on your Frederick John Bailey came up. "My" Frederick Bailey on my family tree was also born in Albury I believe that these two men could be one in the same.
However, I notice that your Frederick had parents William Joseph (as does mine) and Mary Rix. My Frederick's mother was Mary Daley. Do you think this is the same Mary?
I know from my research my William and Mary were married in Melbourne in 1854 and travelled to Albury where my great grandfather was born at a billabong at Mohonga (near Albury). I believe there was some name changes due to convicts etc so I believe Daley was not Mary's birth name.
My great grandfathers name was Charles G. Bailey. On his birth records his mother is listed as Marianne Daley and father William J Bailey.
Mary married John Thomas Gilpin. (John Thomas Gilpin was born in 1832 in England UK.)
Mary next married William Joseph Bailey. (William Joseph Bailey was born circa 1845.)
