  • Marriage (1): Edward (Edmond) Naughton on 17 Jan 1822 in Tynagh, County Galway, Ireland UK 602
  • Died: 1830, Ireland about age 34

Other names for Bridget were Bridget Gauntly and Bridget Mahony.

  General Notes:

BRIDGET NEVER CAME TO AUSTRALIA,SHE DIED BEFORE EDWARD LEFT IRELAND.

Margie & Dale Partridge notes:
I also have a different name for Bridget Naughton's (as well as her brother Anthony, & sisters Mary & Catherine) mother, a lot of trees have it as Bridget Mahony however I believe it is Bridget Gauntly/Gantly

Ciara Rumble notes:
I believe Bridget died in Ireland some time between 1832-1841, along with his eldest son Anthony. This is because Ed did put in an application for wife and four children to come to Australia, but was cancelled or recalled, not exactly sure. Then the girls came out as 'orphans' on the Earl Grey Scheme, and John and Catherine Broderick sponsored the youngest, Bridget. There's a story of Catherine's story here: <https://earlgreysfamineorphans.wordpress.com/tag/catherine-naughton/?fbclid=IwAR0BDxjGTaCeZBAiosOoP2hMFKnO-RSvwy694xL6-_sGWIAcMZbRGYLkFDE>
(this includes a record with the reference to mother as Bridget Mahony, not Gauntley)
We know Ed and his daughters reunited, as Ed remarried in 1843 to Anne Mary Broderick, Patrick's sister, so Catherine's step-mother was also her aunt, and they all lived together in the Laggan, Crookwell region; the Brodericks, Naughtons, Lyons, and Mannions :)
