Stephen Compton

  General Notes:

Stephen was transported to N.S.W in 1831. He arrived on the "Asia"(6)13 Feb.1832.
Stephen was assigned to William Dangar in Scone, N.S.W, in 1839Stephen petition Governor Gipps asking for his family to be broughtout to Australia. In 1840 they arrived and went to live at Maitland,N.S.W.

Stephen married Elizabeth (Betty) Jones on 15 Jan 1822 in Newport, Isle Of Wight, Hampshire England. (Elizabeth (Betty) Jones was born in 1796 in Isle Of Wight, Hampshire England and died on 14 Feb 1880 in West Maitland, NSW Australia.)
