Christopher Dawson Edmondson was born 1836, Settle YKS. Died 10^th April 1910 at Mt. Morgan, Qld, buried 10^th April 1910, Mt Morgan. Arrived Melbourne 3^rd January 1853 on the "Janet Mitchell". Son of Christopher Edmondson, Solicitor of Settle and Sarah nee' Watson.
1841 Census for Arkholme, Lancashire, Christopher is listed as being in the home of Rev. Richard Mallison as a pupil aged 5 years. The census was taken 6th June.

Christopher married Eliza Burton, daughter of William Burton and Elizabeth Smith, on 16 Jun 1856 in Melbourne, Victoria Australia. (Eliza Burton was born in 1836 in Murrumbidgee, NSW Australia, died on 24 Nov 1865 in Wellington, NSW Australia and was buried on 26 Nov 1865 in Wellington, NSW Australia.). The cause of her death was thrown from horse.
