In researching information for my family, I googled the name of Stephen Jay Kershaw, who is the grandson of Billie Kershaw who I met just after he got out of the navy after WWII.
His mother was Jeannie Church, born in South Durham QC.

William married Jeannie Church, daughter of Charles Church and Mary Houston. (Jeannie Church was born on 13 May 1879 in Durham District, County Durham England and died on 22 Feb 1966.)
