As for the Austin name, it was always Austen when in Woodchurch, England, but once the family came to Australia it was changed to Austin. The names in the old bible which I have for the family are written in the Austen spelling. The bible is from the mid 1800's, and very fragile and is wrapped in a very old tapestry belt, which is backed with old fashioned satin of the type used for female crinoline dresses. I would love to have it dated, but my guess is mid 1800's also.

John married Elizabeth. (Elizabeth was born circa 1840.)
