John Manning
General Notes: John Manning purchased the blacksmith shop on Eagle Street, opposite the Presbyterian Church. John Manning purchased a vacant lot on the corner of Main and Ontario Street where, with the assistance of his two oldest boys, Alfred and George, he launched out in the manufacture of farm implements, wagons, buggies, cutters, etc., employing half a dozen or more men.
