• fact. Mary Craig, born in Mains of Glengivel, Avondale, on the 31st of May 1785 and baptised on the 5th of June. (Transcribed from OPR Ref. 621/1, FR282) Mary Craig married Hugh Fleming (b. Avondale c.1773). Mary died at Ploughland Farm, Avondale, on the 22nd of January 1856. This was probably Low Ploughland Farm (known nowadays as Laigh Plewland). Her son John was the informant. 1. Mary married Hugh Fleming, son of John Fleming and Janet, on 18 Mar 1809 in Avondale, Lanarkshire Scotland. (Hugh Fleming was born on 18 Jul 1773 in Martinholme, Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland UK and died on 15 Feb 1855 in Ploughland Farm, Avondale, Lanark, Scotland UK.)
