• fact. Hugh Fleming, born in Avondale on the 17th of November 1846. (Transcribed from OPR Ref. 621/4, FR608) Hugh's birth is registered in the Avondale OPR, although the entry says that he was born in "Avonside, Parish of Stonehouse". Hugh died in infancy.
