  Research Notes:

source: Bronwen Wiebe who notes:
The story my grandmother would tell us \endash Ruby who was born 1883, that her great- grandfather [John Warby], was visiting a friend at one time, he was invited to lunch which was being served at an inside table. Sarah Bentley was a servant at the house, John was very much attracted to her, he kept coming back to his friend's house and eventually asked if he could marry her.
James Graham was a very keen horseman, he was Stewart at race meetings, and also bred and lease his male horses for breeding. James fell off his horse and had horrific injuries from the fall and died around five weeks later. Mary Ann stayed at Campbelltown keeping the Wheelwright Inn and living in Adelaide House and Vine Cottage, she then moved in with Christiana and Edward at "Tudorville" Tudor St Surry Hills, she died at this house. The house still stands today with the same nameplate.
Ruby would tell us that at Christmas time, her mother would go to Campbelltown to her grandparents house for dinner, they would put a row of tables out the back of their Leumeah house and all the relative would come. She said there was 117 of them for Christmas dinner. I do not know what year this would have been. John & Sarah having 14 children. Ruby's stories and tales made me interested in my family, I would sit for hours and listen to her in 1968 & 1969 when she was living with us. After she died in 1978 I wanted me to find our more and have been researching ever since.
Mary Ann also had her baby teeth, her next set of teeth and a third set of single teeth came through after she had all her teeth taken out, she was in her 70's. She also lost her sight for a while and Ruby went to Campbelltown to help look after her, then her site returned. I have two teeth which is my third set of teeth.
Mary's brother Joseph, he broke his leg, broken legs were "chopped/taken off", they did not know they would mend.
