Daniel West Digges arrived in Australia on the "Herald" in 1845. Withhim was his brothers, William Lowrey, Thomas Blackstock and James whodied on the voyger.

Daniel married Catherine Cain, daughter of John Cain / Kean and Catherine Hennessy / Fogarty, in 1862 in Dubbo, NSW Australia. (Catherine Cain was born in 1841 in Cherry Tree Hill, Ilford, NSW Australia and died on 20 Oct 1935 in Gilgandra, NSW Australia.)
