General Notes: Worked on railway. Lived at the Street Earsham, Norfolk in 1871 In 1881 lodged with Edward Aldous (Railway Examiner) and family in Lady's Meadow, Beccles. Lived at 43 Maygrove Place Great Yarmouth in 1891. (1)24 Rosary Road, Norwich. Raised in Station House at Yarmouth Vauxhall. Station Inspector. Owned house in Palgrave Road. Rolling stock inspector at Thorpe Station - sorting out horseboxes in the 1920's. used to visit London. Jimmy Gale was messenger boy for George and also worked with Gordon Arthur. Lived at 1 Blake's building in 1894 Lived at 1 Royal Terrace, Runham, Great Yarmouth in 1901 Noted events in his life were: • Baptism, 8 Jul 1862, Mendham, Norfolk England. • Occupation. • Occupation: Inspector in 1907 and 1909. George married Jane Clutton, daughter of James Worton Clutten and Sarah Elizabeth Jarvis, on 16 Apr 1885. (Jane Clutton was born on 12 Sep 1864 in Bungay, Suffolk England, died on 25 Jun 1939 and was buried in Rosary Cemetery, Norwich, Norfolk England.) |
