HELEN attended the following schools:- 1978-1980 - Croyland Infants' School, Wellingborough, Northants. 1981-1984 - Croyland Junior School, Wellingborough, Northants. 1984-1985 - Sweyne C.P. School, Swanscombe, Kent. 1985-1987 - Dartford Grammar School for Girls, Shepherds Lane, Dartford, Kent. 1987-1992 - Newport Girls' High School, Wellington Road, Newport, Shropshire. HELEN enjoyed a successful academic career, obtaining ten good GCSE passes, and four good "A" level passes. On leaving school at eighteen years of age she went to Salford University to take an Honours Degree in Modern Languages (French & Spanish with subsidiary German). This was a four year course, one year of which was spent abroad. Helen spent her year abroad from April 1994 to March 1995. The first period, from April 1994 to August 1994, was spent working fror Rhone Poulenc Agrochimie in Lyon. From September 1994 to March 1995 she was a student at Salamanca University, Spain. HELEN graduated in July 1996, achieving first class Honours. She also received the SEL translation prize. The presentation ceremony took place at Salford University on Tuesday 16th June 1996. In September 1996 HELEN commenced her one year course for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. On completion of this course she decided not to enter a career in teaching, and instead embarked on a year at Cambridge University, studying for a M Phil Degree in Linguistics at Newnham college. This she completed in 1998. On leaving university Helen worked for a spell at

Helen married Paul David Mitchell on 5 Aug 2000 in Barley Town House, Church End, Barley, Nr Royston, Hertfordshire England. (Paul David Mitchell was born on 28 Mar 1974 in Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Luton, Bedfordshire England.)
