THE funeral service took place at St Margaret's Church on Thursday, January 15, for John Clutten who died at Lowestoft Hospital on January 1.

The Rev Mark McCaghrey officiated.

Family mourners were, Marilyn Clutten (wife), Matthew Clutten and Sadie Shaw (son and fiance) Julie and Stuart Catchpole (daughter and son-in-law), Janet and Owen Carver, Chris and Joy Clutten, Eliot and Sarah Clutten, Paul and Claire Clutten, Mr and Mrs J Catchpole, Mr and Mrs Kelly, Mr and Mrs Steward, Mrs Nixon, Mr Snowden, Mr and Mrs Creasy and Mrs Smith.

Also attending were many friends of the family, to numerous to mention by name, also friends and fellow teachers from LOBSC, members of Lowestoft and District Scout Association, members of Suffolk County ASA, friends from 14th Lowestoft Cubs and Scout Groups, Waveney Life Saving Club, friends from the TA, friends from the Denes High School, members representing Waveney Sports Centre, WDC, The Ashley School, friends made through work.

The family appreciates the warmth and love shown to them, also the many cards, flowers and expressions of sympathy. The family would like to thank the Revd Mark McCaghrey and Maurice Garrod for the heartfelt tributes to John which brought such comfort, also the staff at Lowestoft Hospital (Gertrude Barwood Unit) for their care of John and his family also the Macmillan Nurses. Thanks to the many family and friends who sent messages of sympathy but were unable to attend the funeral service. Sincere thanks to the staff at Anglia Co-Operative Funeral Service, Police Station Road, who showed the family such consideration.

Would all please accept this as the only but most sincere acknowledgment.
