If your ancestors came from Yate, then you most likely are related to Henry Alway who settled with his family on the Wallamba River in 1864. Henry was born in Yate in 1835 as were his 4 younger siblings; his mother also lived in Yate all her life. Father is unknown, said by mother to be a gypsy. We also have a William Alway, born c.1835 in Yate, not the brother of Henry, perhaps a cousin, unmarried, said to have been in the British Army in India, who died 1905 and is buried in Krambach cemetery.
