Edwin Williams age 21, came free aboard the ship 'Providence' 1820, a carpenter of the Parish of St Laurance [sic], bachelor and Maria Gilbert, age 18, came free aboard the ship 'Lord Melville' 1816, of the Parish of Parramatta, spinster, were married at St James Church, Sydney by Banns with consent of the bride's parents, officating minister Richard Hill, witnesses were John Gilbert of Parramatta and Emma Simpson of Pitt Street Sydney.
