Mahala Brunning (Wade) was the daughter of James Brunning (Wade) and Mahala Silsby and was born 1841 in Monewden, Suffolk. In the BMD register for the second quarter (April/May/June) 1841 there appears to be two different registration for Mahala, one under the name of Brunning and the other under the name of Wade, reference Plomsgate XII 352 for each. 1861 Census: Shows Mahala Wade (19), servant to William Catt (60) and his wife Caroline Catt (49) at Newton Hall, Swilland, Suffolk.
