[grayfamilytree.FTW] [learmouth.FTW] Was a Farm worker in 1841. He later on his return to the district worked in a foundry as a carter. His son George later worked for the same firm. When returning the census for 1871 he had staying at the time Janet Learmonth his granddaughter. The missing census must be in St Ninian s where his son John was born. By 1861 Janet Wardrop was a servant. I found that both the Learmonth and Wardrop knew each other at Thornhill while working for Farmers in that area. I also found that John worked in St Ninians at Darn Bog, Carmack in 1861.
